Automatic jar top valves are the easiest-to-service valves for today’s irrigation systems. The jar top valve features a 24 VAC solenoid, manual actuation lever, and bleed screw. The jar top lid removes with a counterclockwise twist, allowing access to the diaphragm and support ring. The threads are 3/4-inch or 1-inch pipe thread, and are compatible with Schedule 40 and 80 PVC fittings as well as heavy-duty manifold adapters. The jar top solenoid features nickel-plated copper wire and is compatible with all major brands of 24 VAC irrigation controllers. We recommend B-hyve controllers for optimum water conservation and PVC-Lock fittings for fast, glue-free installation. For outdoor irrigation use with cold water only.
